I am happy to announce that Maraqopa Records is releasing two albums in the month of December! Both will be available for purchase and on streaming. First, “Far Out To Where We Were Then: The Maraqopa Demos” will be available December 6th, exclusively on Bandcamp. These demos recorded in 2011, only include songs written for the “Maraqopa” album, and not the trilogy itself. The demos for “Brothers And Sisters of The Eternal Son” and “Visions of Us On The Land” will be released at a later date. For many years people have been asking me to make these demos available, and so now I am. For those who are wondering about other demo releases, yes, I am planning on releasing the demos for “Sometimes You Hurt The Ones You Hate”, “Motorcycle Madness”, and “Passing The Giraffes”. Whether these will see a physical release, or just be made available on digital or streaming, is yet to be decided.
The second release that will be on streaming this month is “Damien Jurado, Live at Saint Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle, WA, August 7th 2024”. The limited edition white LP sold out fast! There are a few copies still available in GOLD. Which in my opinion look beautiful. If you don’t have one, get on it, or get one for a friend this holiday season!

what a great way to end the yr - looking forward to both Damien - thank you!
Dear Damien,
really love the the Demos, bought it immediately!
In the liner notes your write: "Most of the demos that I recorded from this time period were recorded over, or lost. What you hear are all that remains. The songs, "Mountains Still Asleep", and "Museum of Flight", were such recordings that I lost or recorded over."
I have the demo versions of "Mountains Still Asleep", and "Diamond Sea". You uploaded it on Soundcloud back then and it is still circulating in fan forums. If you want, I can sent it to you?
