Hold up..
Hello,
Just a small bit of rambling before I leave for this next tour.
It’s been quite some time since I ventured out east of Washington to perform music. I’m really looking forward to it. The weather, not so much. I am tired of being cold. The long vast stretches of the American highway, yes. There is nothing like it. Years ago, I gave up flying, like I swore off smoking, and it’s been wonderful. I don’t miss it. Well, not entirely. I do miss my vantage point above the clouds and looking down on the shapes, colors, and size of the land below, from deserts, to mountain tops. Thankfully, I have a photographic memory, and I can easily recall those moments.
I am planning on keeping a bit of a tour diary of sorts, though, I cannot guarantee how good I will be at it. I am the worst at taking photos. No matter how many cameras I have invested in, I just can’t get it done. I envy the photographers who can. Since I am on the topic of documenting / posting, I think it only prudent to quickly address my absence from Instagram. I did not delete my account. I have just temporarily suspended it. I don’t know when I will turn the light back on, should that happen. My time away from it has been very good for my mental health. I struggle with addiction of all sorts, and for me, social media is no different than any substance that I can smoke, inject, or drink. I can on, and on about it, but I won’t. It’s a personal decision. No advice needed. Life goes on without it. Lord knows that I have even questioned my time on here.
I am still releasing music. If you didn’t know, I just released two new versions of “Motorcycle Madness”, a new single, “A Place Reserved for Reverse”, and a brand new EP titled, “Keith is Plane Crazy”. I am so very proud of all of them. These new releases, along with everything else I released over the last year, can be found on my Bandcamp page (which I will link to below), or on my website. Most if not, can be found on streaming as well. If you don’t see it, just know that I am working on it. Maraqopa Records is a one man operation.
Well, I believe that is all. If you happen to see that I am passing through your fine town or city on this next tour, do consider coming on out. I can promise you that you will most definitely hear a song you will enjoy. Oh, and I will be touring with my good friend Stevan Alva, who goes under the name St. Yuma. Easily one of my favorite living songwriters/ performers. Beautiful music. Not to be missed.
Talk soon,
Damien

Hope you get a chance to make it out to the East Coast at some point in the near future. Was really bummed when you had to cancel those dates a few years back.
Also hope you record some of the upcoming dates. The Live at St. Mark's recordings are some of my favorite from the past decade. Just really beautiful.
See you Turf Club . . .
