Hope you get a chance to make it out to the East Coast at some point in the near future. Was really bummed when you had to cancel those dates a few years back.
Also hope you record some of the upcoming dates. The Live at St. Mark's recordings are some of my favorite from the past decade. Just really beautiful.
Hey Damien, it’s great to hear from you! I’m really excited about your upcoming tour, especially since it’s been a while since you’ve been out east. Your decision to take a break from Instagram sounds like a positive step for your mental health, and I completely respect that. Looking forward to checking out your new music on Bandcamp and your website. Safe travels, and can’t wait to see you perform with St. Yuma
Hello Damian pleased to learn of ure photographic memory so that if w luck u read (or hear of) this it will stick. Along w friends, discovered your writing&music nearing 3yrs ago & waiting all caps for you to make it east- Philadelphia specifically but 100ish miles in any direction would do! Present tour dates have you coming 777 miles away in Chicago- large pill. We’d love to see you play
A while back you had a substack post that analyzed the lyrics of a song and upon listening to that, I was determined to finally do something about my life. It has taken me a year, but finally today had session #1 with a therapist. I dropped your name in session, as I said I enjoy live music, and your show in Solana Beach was a transcendent experience. She wrote down your name and is going to check you out.
All this to say, if you quit all social media entirely, I would understand. “The tears I’ve inhaled are no good for my health,” and in general social media is/can be bad for our health. But there can be bright spots. Your music feels like a direct connection to my soul, and I’m truly thankful you share your music in various formats/platforms and your thoughts on Substack.

See you Turf Club . . .
Me too!
So glad I saw (just today) that he's playing there. I almost missed it, after hearing last fall he was planning to come in 2026.
Too much going on, and our lives are so inundated with terror and spam.
I quit flying, too, although I’d do it again if they brought back dirigibles. Hope to be in the audience in Omaha.
